Peace and Friendship Concert

Just a little bit of information about what Jackie is planning.

SINGAPORE: Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan revealed that he plans to hold a “Peace and Friendship concert” to mark his 60th birthday next year, when he met reporters at a media conference for his new film “Police Story 2013” in Singapore on Tuesday.

The concert will be held in Beijing and feature performers from North Korea, China, Japan, Singapore and numerous other Asian countries.

“The venue has been booked already. I want to do this Peace and Friendship concert because society today really needs peace,” explained Chan.

“This is something that I’ve always wanted to do but haven’t gotten around to doing it.”

Apart from his birthday plans, the actor also revealed that he has numerous action films in the works, including a “Taken”-esque thriller and a sequel to his 2010 film “The Karate Kid”.

“I want to shoot more action films while I’m still young!” said Chan with a chuckle, and assured reporters that his action films will still be "down to earth" movies that won't rely on computer-generated special effects.
